It is nice to escape brutal cold in the Northeast and spend some time in “Morocco” recreated in the Epcot. Although it was quite cold in Orlando, Florida for a couple of days, right now it feels like endless summer again. Epcot which stands for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow is a theme park at Walt Disney World dedicated to technological innovation and international cultures. It has 11 pavilions, each themed and dedicated to represent a specific country. Each pavilion contains themed architecture, landscapes, streetscapes, attractions, shops and restaurants representing the respective country’s culture and cuisine. In an effort to maintain the authenticity of the represented countries, the pavilions are primarily staffed by citizens of the respective countries. Every night at the park there is a spectacular show “Illuminations: Reflections of Earth” featuring fireworks, lasers and water fountains.
